Šentjakobski most / Šentjakob Bridge
,

Location

In 1824, a wooden bridge was built on the site of the present day Šentajkob Bridge. In 1915, due to increased traffic, it was replaced by a reinforced concrete bridge constructed to technically innovative designs by the engineer Alojzij Kral and the architect Alfred Keller. According to the art historian Damjan Prelovšek PhD, the new bridge speaks the "monumental neo-Biedermeier architectural language of late-Secession Vienna".
